{"id":816,"date":"2022-01-14T05:55:00","date_gmt":"2022-01-13T20:55:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.alphabendi.com\/?p=816"},"modified":"2022-01-15T10:12:20","modified_gmt":"2022-01-15T01:12:20","slug":"stephens-blog-47","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.alphabendi.com\/?p=816","title":{"rendered":"Stephen&#8217;s blog"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Dear Regular Readers,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Welcome to this week\u2019s edition of our newsletter and I hope you find something in it worth reading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>News wise, quite a few things have happened in the world since I put fingers to keys last Friday: Boris Johnson (the British PM) looks like his constant questionable behaviour, in particular his telling of untruths.\u00a0 A recent good example of Mr Johnson\u2019s inability to tell the truth centers on the party in\u00a010 Downing Street\u00a0that he said he never attended (when in actual fact he did attend it) during the time the UK was in lockdown back in May 2020.\u00a0 It looks like his dislike of telling the truth will finally get the better of him. \u00a0Sir Keir Starmer, the leader of the opposition party, recently told Boris Johnson in the House of Commons that he was a hypocrite and as such he should resign. \u00a0It also seem that there are a few members of the conservative party that are also keen to see the back of Boris, but of course there has to be enough of them to form a majority otherwise he will remain at the helm. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0If you have an interest in wanting to read about this in more detail, please click on the following link:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-gb\/news\/uknews\/labour-leader-keir-starmer-calls-for-boris-johnson-to-do-the-decent-thing-and-resign\/ar-AASHsuU?ocid=uxbndlbing\" target=\"_blank\">www.msn.com\/en-gb\/news\/uknews\/labour-leader-keir-starmer-calls-for-boris-johnson-to-do-the-decent-thing-and-resign\/ar-AASHsuU?ocid=uxbndlbing<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another story currently gripping the headlines concerns the civil lawsuit that Virginia Giuffre has filed against Prince Andrew for the sexual abuse she suffered at his hands when she was 17 years old. \u00a0It seems that Ms Guiffre has no intention of accepting an \u2018out of court settlement\u2019 as she has recently stated that she \u201cwants her day in court\u201d.\u00a0 As a result of the judge in charge of the lawsuit (Judge Kaplan) allowing Ms Giuffre to go ahead with her case Prince Andrew has had all his royal patronages and military affiliations taken away from him with his mum\u2019s (the Queen\u2019s )approval.\u00a0 It seems the only way out for Andrew will be to fight the case in court and hope that he is found not guilty, especially after Ms Giuffre recently tweeted that\u00a0&#8220;My goal has always been to show that the rich and powerful are not above the law &amp;
