Dear Regular Newsletter Readers (and those not so regular),<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Welcome to this week\u2019s edition of our long running weekly newsletter.  As usual we\u2018ve tried to put together some interesting articles for you that reflect what\u2019s going on within the field of education here in Japan, as well as one or two interesting articles about what\u2019s going on in the world at large.  This week I shall attempt to write a line or two of poetry about something that as yet has not quite come into my mind, but as I\u2019m typing this last sentence I can feel some inspiration from one or two noises that I can hear in the background as my colleagues are getting ready to leave work for the day.  I hope you find something of interest in this week\u2019s newsletter and thank you for your continued patronage.  Keep safe and we\u2019ll be dropping another newsletter into your inbox again next week.  <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The aftermath<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A typhoon troubled greater Tokyo and other parts of Japan today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rain fell hard and there were gusts of wind but the damage was less than was first feared.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Umbrellas blown inside out and sideways up left on the streets by their owners for others to collect and throw away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wet leaves mixed in with pet bottles and other rubbish waiting its turn to be cleared. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wind that whistled through trees separating branches from leaves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shutters and gutters looking much the worse for wear having felt the wrath of the rain and wind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In its wake the typhoon left us with a beautiful calm sunny day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is that to remind us that there is always calm after the storm or that not caring enough is the very high price we will have to pay.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
