Street artist Banksy on Aug. 13 finished the ninth mural of his animal-themed series in London. The mural was on the shutters of London Zoo. It showed a gorilla freeing zoo animals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The series began with a mountain goat on Aug. 5. Eight other artworks followed, including three monkeys hanging from a railway bridge, and two pelicans above a fish and chip shop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
London Zoo staff were thrilled to find the latest mural had been painted on their doorstep, said the zoo\u2019s media manager, Rebecca Blanchard. The painting shows a gorilla prizing open a metal shutter to release birds and a sea lion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis is bringing so many smiles to people\u2019s faces this morning,\u201d Blanchard said. The zoo hasn\u2019t yet decided what to do with the mural, but were \u201cdefinitely keeping it and preserving it,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
