Armchair Traveler has already visited Toronto and was impressed by what we saw. But that was eight years ago, so it\u2019s a good time to take a second look. Welcome back to Canada\u2019s largest city!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your first stop should be the Royal Ontario Museum, or ROM. The building is a wild mix of styles. There\u2019s the original 1914 building and the art deco 1993 east wing. But what really grabs you is the crystal, built in 2007, that seems to hug the building like a ball of lightning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inside, the ROM is packed with exhibits, so give yourself a whole day to get the most out of it. A highlight is the Bat Cave. It\u2019s not Batman\u2019s secret cave but an interactive exhibit. Walk through a dark cave as a colony of bats flies out. Great fun for the kids!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On your next day, check out Casa Loma on a hill overlooking midtown. This Gothic Revival castle was completed in 1914 for a wealthy financier. Today, it\u2019s open to the public. If you\u2019re curious how the super-rich lived more than a hundred years ago, this is the place to go. Explore sumptuously decorated rooms like the Oak Room, with its moose-horn chandeliers and leather circular sofas, or the soft-toned suite for the lady of the house. Then look at the exhibition of vintage cars, including early Fords from 1922 to 1929.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, it\u2019s time to get some fresh air. There\u2019s nowhere better to go than Niagara Falls. There are many ways to enjoy this marvel of nature\u2019s power, but don\u2019t miss out on the Journey Behind the Falls. This is a viewing platform and tunnels near the bottom of Horseshoe Falls. Be warned: It will get your heart racing.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
