Welcome to this week\u2019s edition of our newsletter and I hope it finds you all in excellent spirits. It\u2019s been quite a while since I\u2019ve contributed to our weekly offering and as I\u2019ve been thinking to get back into writing a few lines of poetry, I thought I would put something of a short poem together just to get myself back up and running. And what better place to start than writing a poem about work, in this case leaving my workplace. Until next week, keep safe and enjoy the weekend ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I tick what I\u2019ve done off my jobs to do list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I check back through it to see if any ticks have been missed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I change from my work into my going home clothes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I look around to see if there are any items of rubbish of which I need to dispose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I gather up the unwashed lunchtime cups and dishes left on the side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I return them to their residing place washed and undried.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I close the window blinds to a cold, rain sodden dark and dreary day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I look around reminiscently at the place in which I\u2019ve earned my day\u2019s pay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I turn off the lights and pick my bag up off the floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I open and then double check to make sure I\u2019ve locked the office door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I relieve myself, flash my face at the toilet mirror and give my hair a finger comb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I switch the security alarm on, have a last look in the postbox and then take a slow pondering stroll home.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
